平田晃久　人間の波打ちぎわ（練馬区立美術館）　Akira Hirata: Architecture Arises at the Water's Edge (Nerima Art Museum)

 

建築家、平田晃久のプロジェクトを紹介する展覧会。

この美術館が、平田の建築によって新たに図書館と一体化した施設に生まれ変わることが決まったことから、この展覧会を開催することになったようだ。

最初の展示スペースでは、これまでの平田のプロジェクトや、建築にあたってのコンセプトなどが紹介されていた。

次のスペースでは、この美術館のリニューアル・プロジェクトが詳しく紹介されていた。

また、同様な性格を持っている、2017年の太田市美術館・図書館プロジェクトや、進行中の台湾でのプロジェクトなども紹介されていた。

最後の展示スペースとは、それまでとは違った雰囲気で、薄暗い広いスペースの中に、過去のプロジェクトの模型や写真などがユニークな方法で展示されていた。

以前、ギャラリー間において、平田の建築を体験したことがあったが、その際は、会場が狭かった。

今回は、エントランスの広場も使った、大規模な会場の中で、ユニークだが、綿密なコンセプトに基づいた平田の建築世界を、十二分に味わうことができた。

This exhibition introduces the projects of architect Akihisa Hirata.

It seems that this exhibition was held because it was decided that the museum would be reborn as a new facility integrated with a library through Hirata's architecture.

In the first exhibition space, Hirata's past projects and architectural concepts were introduced.

In the next space, the museum's renewal project was introduced in detail.

In addition, the Ota City Museum of Art and Library project in 2017 and the ongoing project in Taiwan, which have similar characteristics, were also introduced.

The last exhibition space had a different atmosphere from the previous ones, and in a dimly lit, wide space, models and photos of past projects were displayed in a unique way.

I had previously experienced Hirata's architecture at the galleries MA, but the venue was small.

This time, in a large venue that also used the plaza at the entrance, I was able to fully experience Hirata's unique yet detailed architectural world based on a concept.

幻想のフラヌール（町田市立国際版画美術館）　Fantasy Flaneur (Machida City Museum of Graphic Art)

フラヌールとは、フランス語で、あてもなく散歩する人、のことを意味する言葉らしい。 何とも、不思議な版画作品ばかりが展示されていた展覧会だった。 ほとんどが、この美術館の収蔵品なので、これまで何度か目にした作品が多かった。ハンス・ベルメール、ヨルク・シュマイサー、清原啓子、柄澤齋など。 一番、印象に残ったのは、最後のコーナーに展示されていた、ホルスト・ヤンセンと菊池怜司だった。 わずか22歳でこの世を去った菊池怜司は、おそらく病に犯されていた自分をモデルにしていたのだろうが、Finger Sampleなど、人体をテーマにした、まるで医者が使うカルテのような作品が多かった。 常設展は、飯田善國の特集展示だった。 これまで興味がありながら、まとまった作品を目にしたことがなかったので、楽しめた。 西脇順三郎の詩を、カラフルにデザインされたポスターのように仕上げた作品が、とても印象的だった。 Flaneur is a French word that means someone who strolls aimlessly. The exhibition was filled with mysterious prints. Most of the works were from the museum's collection, so I had seen many of them before. They were by Hans Bellmer, Jörg Schmeisser, Keiko Kiyohara, and Sai Karasawa. The most memorable works were by Horst Janssen and Reiji Kikuchi, which were exhibited in the last corner. Reiji Kikuchi, who passed away at the age of just 22, probably modeled his own illness on himself, and many of his works, such as Finger Sample, were based on the human body, like a medical record used by a do...

武井武雄展　幻想の世界をようこそ（目黒区美術館）　Takeo Takei: Welcome to the World of Fantasy (Megro Museum of Art, Tokyo)

  武井武雄の名前は、寡聞にも聞いたことがなかったが、『コドモノクニ』に描かれた美しい絵は、確かに見覚えがあった。 武井は、絵本などに描かれる子どものための芸術こそ本物の芸術でなければならないとして、それまで絵画などに比べて低く見られていた挿絵などを”童画”という新しいジャンルとして確立した。 武井などの努力もあり、今日では絵本や挿絵などは、他のジャンルと等しく見られていると言って良いだろう。 とにかく、展示されていた美しく、ポエジーに溢れた”童画”の数々に、ただただ見入ってしまった。 I had never heard of Takei Takeo, but I certainly recognized his beautiful illustrations in "Kodomo no Kuni." Takei believed that art for children, such as that depicted in picture books, should be true art, and established a new genre of "children's art," which had previously been looked down upon compared to paintings. Thanks to the efforts of Takei and others, it's fair to say that today picture books and illustrations are viewed equally with other genres. I was simply captivated by the beautiful, poetic "children's art" on display.

ヨーゼフ・ボイス　ダイアローグ（GYRE）　Daialog with Joseph Beuys (GYRE)

  ヨーゼフ・ボイスの問いかけに、現代のアーティストが答える、という企画。 ボイスの作品は、カスヤの森現代美術館の収蔵品。 まずは、ボイスの作品が展示されて、続いて、それに対する”回答”が、展示されているのだが・・・ 残念ながら、そこでは、ボイスとの”ダイアローグ”は、起こっていないようだった。 ボイスは、誰もが芸術家であると語っていた。 よっぽど、このギャラリーの外での方が、ボイスとの対話は、日常的に行われているように思えるのだが。 This is a project in which contemporary artists answer questions posed by Joseph Beuys. Beuys's works are in the collection of the Kasuya Museum of Contemporary Art. First, Beuys's works are exhibited, followed by the "answers" to them... Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any "dialogue" with Beuys taking place there. Beuys said that everyone is an artist. It seems like dialogue with Beuys is much more common outside of this gallery.
