乙女たちの夢　竹久夢二展（郵政博物館）　Girls' Dreams - Takehisa Yumeji (Postal Museum Japan)


竹久夢二展と聞くと、どうしても足を運んでしまう。

2024年は生誕100周年ということで、昨年から各地で展覧会が開催されている。

昨年は福田美術館の作品を中心に展示した高崎市美術館、今年になって夢二郷土美術館の作品を中心に展示した東京都庭園美術館のそれぞれの展覧会を訪れた。

この展覧会は、竹久夢二美術館の作品から、女十題、黒船屋、宝船、セノオ楽譜など、代表的な作品の他に、知人への手紙なども展示されていた。

どの展覧会でも感じるのは、絵画のみならず、デザインや詩文など、竹久夢二の多彩さだ。

アーティスト、デザイナー、クリエーター、・・・。

竹久夢二のことを語るにあたり、いろいろな言葉が使われてきたが、いまだにその全貌を表す言葉を、私たちは持ち合わせてはいないようだ。

When I hear about a Takehisa Yumeji exhibition, I can't help but go.

2024 will be his 100th birthday, and since last year, exhibitions have been held in various places.

Last year, I visited the Takasaki Art Museum, which mainly exhibited works from the Fukuda Art Museum, and this year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, which mainly exhibited works from the Yumeji Local Museum.

This exhibition featured representative works from the Takehisa Yumeji Museum, such as Treasure Ship, Ten Themes for Women, and Senoo Music Score, as well as letters to acquaintances.

What I feel at every exhibition is the versatility of Takehisa Yumeji, not only in paintings, but also in designs and poetry.

Artist, designer, creator, etc.

Many words have been used to talk about Takehisa Yumeji, but it seems that we still don't have the words to describe his whole picture.

シュルレアリスム100年（東京国立近代美術館）　100 Years of Surrealism (National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo)

大規模な企画展ではなかったが、収蔵作品展の第5室で、シュルレアリスム100年を記念する展示が行われていた。 まずは、マックス・エルンスト、ジョアン・ミロ、イブ・タンギーらの、同じみのシュルレアリスムのアーティストたちの作品。 シュルレアリスムは、海外にも広がっていったが、アメリカでは若きジャスパー・ジョーンズがその影響を受けていた。 そして、日本からは、日本におけるシュルレアリスム運動をした福沢一郎や北脇昇などの作品も。 また、瀧口修造の訳によるアンドレ・ブルトンの『超現実主義と絵画』や、シュルレアリスムに影響を与えたダダに関する資料なども展示されていた。 小規模な展示ながら、シュルレアリスムについて振り返ることができたが、国立であるこの近代美術館で、20世紀最大の芸術運動と言われるシュルレアリスムについて、もっと大規模な展示が行われて欲しかった。 Although it was not a large-scale exhibition, there was an exhibition commemorating 100 years of Surrealism in the fifth room of the collection exhibition. 茶の湯以前（金沢文庫）　Before "Cyano-yu" (Kanazawa Bunko Museum)

千利休らによって、”茶の湯”が大成される以前の、鎌倉時代の茶の様相を、国宝の金沢文庫文書から紹介した展覧会。 金沢貞顕が、京都にいる息子の貞将や、懇意の僧侶である頓阿に、お茶を送ってくれるように頼んでいる書状が多かった。 栄西が日本に茶を持ち込んだばかりの鎌倉時代は、茶はまだ高価で地位のある人々にとっても、高級品であったのだろう。 茶ははじめは薬として、用いられていた、ということは聞いたことがあった。 密教の作法などを記した、覚禅抄には、密教の儀式に茶が用いられていたことが書かれている。 お茶には、不思議な力があると考えられていたようだ。 This exhibition used documents from the Kanazawa Bunko National Treasure to introduce the state of tea in the Kamakura period, before the tea ceremony was perfected by Sen no Rikyu and others. There were many letters from Kanazawa Sadaaki asking his son Sadamasa, who was in Kyoto, and his close monk Ton'a to send tea. In the Kamakura period, when Eisai had just brought tea to Japan, tea was still expensive and was probably a luxury item even for people of high status. I had heard that tea was originally used as medicine. The Kakuzensho, which describes the etiquette of esoteric Buddhism, states that tea was used in esoteric Buddhist rituals. It seems that tea was thought to have magical powers.

幻想のフラヌール（町田市立国際版画美術館）　Fantasy Flaneur (Machida City Museum of Graphic Art)

フラヌールとは、フランス語で、あてもなく散歩する人、のことを意味する言葉らしい。 何とも、不思議な版画作品ばかりが展示されていた展覧会だった。 ほとんどが、この美術館の収蔵品なので、これまで何度か目にした作品が多かった。ハンス・ベルメール、ヨルク・シュマイサー、清原啓子、柄澤齋など。 一番、印象に残ったのは、最後のコーナーに展示されていた、ホルスト・ヤンセンと菊池怜司だった。 わずか22歳でこの世を去った菊池怜司は、おそらく病に犯されていた自分をモデルにしていたのだろうが、Finger Sampleなど、人体をテーマにした、まるで医者が使うカルテのような作品が多かった。 常設展は、飯田善國の特集展示だった。 これまで興味がありながら、まとまった作品を目にしたことがなかったので、楽しめた。 西脇順三郎の詩を、カラフルにデザインされたポスターのように仕上げた作品が、とても印象的だった。 Flaneur is a French word that means someone who strolls aimlessly. They were by Hans Bellmer, Jörg Schmeisser, Keiko Kiyohara, and Sai Karasawa. The most memorable works were by Horst Janssen and Reiji Kikuchi, which were exhibited in the last corner. Reiji Kikuchi, who passed away at the age of just 22, probably modeled his own illness on himself, and many of his works, such as Finger Sample, were based on the human body, like a medical record used by a do...
